Gewehr 98 For Sale

Our Assessment: The Belgian Model 1935 was originally made by converting German Gewehr 98 rifles and using Gew 98 parts that Belgium already had on hand. These conversions were done by Manufacture d’ Armes de L’Etat (MAE) in Belgium. After the initial run the Model 1935 was manufactured by Fabrique Nationale (FN) at Liege, Belgium. FN manufacturing ended in 1940.

This Belgian Mauser is an early variation of the Model 1935 with a deeply marked receiver that reads “MANUFACTURE D’ ARMES / DE L’ETAT”. The later FN Model 1935 rifles are marked “crown / L” on the receiver. This is a scarce Mauser that will add to your collection.
