Modded Game Saves For Ps3

  1. This is a tool/method which will allow you to decrypt your PS3 savegame to mod into your PC and re-encrypt back after modding.
  2. The decrypted savegame can simply be loaded into the PC version of the game, or you can edit bytes by simply hex editing.
  3. I will not describe the hex editing walkthrough in this compilation.

  5. The decrypting will allow you to fix everything, or almost everything, and do other interesting things.
  6. You will need:
  7. - USB Stick (to copy the savegame)
  8. - Skyrim PC version (to modify the decrypted savegame)
  9. Remember to make a backup of your savegame before continuing.
  10. First copy your savegame to a FAT32 formatted USB Stick/Harddrive.
  11. Now download the Skyrim PS3 Toolkit and extract the contents on your pc, prefer the root of your OS (usually C:).
  12. Then take your PS3 savegame from USB and place in this folder (Skyrim PS3 Toolkit folder), note that the folder of interest
  13. Run the Skyrim PS3 Toolkit GUI.exe and drag in your savegame folder into the left box ('Decrypt').
  14. Some log should appear to confirm that the content has been decrypted.
  15. Now you have a decrypted PS3 savegame which can be can simply be loaded into the PC version
  16. by adding the file extension '.ess' to your SYS-DATA, without quotes.
  17. Put the SYS-DATA directly on your C:Users%USERNAME%DocumentsMy GamesSkyrimSaves folder.
  18. Once loaded, mod the game using console commands.
  19. After you have finished, save it normally (overwriting the SYS-DATA) and retrieve the '.ess' savegame.
  20. Remove the '.ess' extension from your SYS-DATA and overwrite the SYS-DATA in your savegame folder (the one from PS3).
  21. Do the same steps of decrypt, but on the right box ('Encrypt').
  22. Arrange all the folder structure exactly how come from PS3 then simply copy your save game back to PS3 and enjoy.
